Important Notes:

If you have the basic MOFI4500-4GXeLTE V2 and use a USB modem/hotspot, you should use firmware 1.9.8.8
For iPhone USB Tethering, you will also need 1.9.8.8

For Android USB Tethering, you can use firmware 2.1.8std or later

All SIM2 and SIM4 routers should use firmware 2.1.8 or later for all providers
(if you have any issues with disconnect, it is recommended to use this firmware 2.1.8 or later firmware, read below on how to update)

For SIM3, you should use firmware 1.9.8.8

Note if you are using a SIM4 with Sprint with an iSIM, you should be on firmware 2.3.4 or later

If you are on a Sprint Unlimited Plan, you should install the Sprint Unlimited firmware below, currently 3.0.2Sprint Unlimited

Firmware 2.XXstd does not currently support most USB modems or hotspot at this time so if you need this, use firmware 1.9.8.8.
For tethering, firmware 2.1.8 or later supports Android USB tethering. If you need iphone USB tethering, you need to use firmware 1.9.8.8

If your router does not have the power light on after 1 minute for many reasons, you can use this recovery file to bring your unit back up

MOFI RECOVERY INSTRUCTIONS:

Instructions on how to update the router:

To do the firmware update, you must connect to the router with a network cable from your pc to the router.
Take out the 3G/4G/LTE stick from the back of the router

You should not use Google Chrome to do the firmware update or anything else when you log into the router.
Use Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari web browser to do this update.

1) Power on router and connect to port 1-4 on the back of the router or connect to the wifi network on the router

2) After router is completed booting up (takes approx 60 seconds) and power light is solid, open up your internet explorer, firefox or safari
(do not use Google Chrome)

3) In the address bar, enter

4) Click on basic mode on the top right and then click on the system system on the side

5) Click on Manually Flash Firmware which is located under System

6) Uncheck “Keep Settings” and click on Browse… or Choose File

7) Locate the file that you saved and click on Open

8) Click on “Upload image” You should see the file size as 15.50 MB

If the checksum is not the same as listed here, delete the file you have and re-download it.

9) Click “Proceed” to start the update process (may take up to 2 mins).
When the power light starts to blink, the update is completed and the router is rebooting.

10) After update is completed and power light is solid, you will be prompt to log in
If not, make sure you are connect to the router via wifi or ethernet and go back to the log in

11) After you are logged in, do a factory default that is located in basic mode then system then factory default.

Do the default and that would complete all the steps for this update.

This firmware is for Sprint Customers that is not using an iSIM.
You can take your Sprint SIM card out of your hotspot or usb modem and put direct in the MOFI router. No need to call or do anything for the activation.

Load this firmware. You can follow the steps above as they are the same but you should make sure you have correct firmware 3.0.2Sprint Unlimited
